Bulwell Hall Park

Bulwell Hall Park is  just five or six minutes drive from Rise Park. This park and Local Nature Reserve incorporates a childrens' play area, beautiful walks through ancient woodlands, and contains two ponds, which are home to many aquatic plants and a regular breeding site for mute swans, moorhens and coots (vandals permitting). Local residents fish the ponds regularly.  Pathways can be rather muddy in parts after wet weather.

The park is also the home of Nottingham City Golf Club – 18 holes – and it is believed that the City Council proposes to work with club to upgrade the course and to provide modern high-quality leisure facilities at the heart of the park. (It is hoped that this will not be done to the detriment of the members of the general public, as has happened at Bulwell Common, and that the City Council will now give similar attention to the general public areas - which have been very seriously neglected in recent years

(There is some evidence of improvements being commenced as at the beginning of 2008 - but time will tell!).

Vehicle access is via gates at the top of Sandhurst Road and there is no admission charge.

Parking inside the gates, (overlooking what was the cricket field, until vandalism destroyed the pavilion recently) or continue straight on to park by the clubhouse. All parking is free (Jan 2008)
